It's actually a strong FA class at that position.
who are some of the d ends this year?

Pennington?! Are you serious? I don't think so. I would rather stick with TJ.

I have said this before and I will say it again. I guarantee we will not draft a QB in the first round.

I would love to have Chad Johnson but he is not a good fit for the Vikings.

I would welcome Asante Samuel and Larry Fitzgerald with open arms. I think they both would be a good fit.

I believe we will take a hard look at McNabb.

As for as the draft look for us to get a OL.

On another note, I really hope we keep Winfield. He is important to the defense for many reasons, not least because he leads by example. You can't easily replace Antoine's leadership.

We don't need a running back, but Ray Rice from Rutgers is short, compact, and very strong. He is an excellent RB who hits the hole fast. He isn't fast, but small, strong RBs have a history of greatness in the NFL (witness Emmit Smith) while consistently being overlooked in the draft. If we can't keep Mewelde Moore, we might want Ray Rice as a 3rd RB. He might be there in the later rounds.

    Go Vikings!

Well, the top two candidates are Jared Allen and Terrell Suggs.
    Young, talented, and proven.

Re: Mock Offseason- My realistic prediction

I've been talking about getting Starks since about this time last year. I want him as our RT.

I don't see us getting Chad Johnson, he's staying in Cincy.

Nor do I see us getting Samuel. I see us building our secondary through the draft some more, we have two good young corners already.

In free agency I just see us getting a lineman or two and another decent receiver like Bryant Johnson.

The draft(this is going to change about a million times between now and April 25thish:
    1) Kenny Phillips, S, Miami: Think about that secondary, 3/5 players(CB,CB,Nickel,SS,FS) would all be 1,2, or 3rd year players with two excellent veterans teaching them. Not too mention Kenny Phillips is the best defensive back prospect since the last first round safety out of Miami(RIP Sean Taylor).
    2) A quarterback: (Colt Brennan, Dennis Dixon, John David Booty, or Chad Henne). Keep in mind, this would be as an insurance policy for Jackson, I'm gaining hope with Tarvaris, he's looked very good lately. Initially I was very against him, but I think that may have been belief persistence after my initial impression. If Jackson doesn't work out, we have another QB to take his place. If he turns out to be the quarterback we've been looking for, we have a solid quarterback

3-7th I think will change dramatically. I see us(maybe not, but it's what I would do if I were GM... which I should be) trading a couple of these picks and/or a player to move up and get another pick in the 1st/2nd round.

With that newly acquired pick, we should be able to pick up a much needed #2 WR.
