The Pack hasn't been back since BRETT FAVRE took them to the NFC Championship game. Now he is a Viking. You must really hate that aspect.Well, they have had votes on this in the past.
Yes, Dallas is the self-proclaimed "America's Team"
Just like I have had my nether regions fried when some stupid vote (ESPN) took away my "Titletown, USA"
ONE team, to my knowledge, has dethroned the Dallas Cowboys as "America's Team", by fan voting, in the past.
The Green Bay Packers.
America loves when the Pack is back.
You must really hate that aspect.

The Steelers would have nothing to do with it, as it seemed too cocky, and they'd rather let their play do the talking then have some bullshit made up nickname.
Cowboys were the 2nd choice, and they became known as America's team.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Packers were upthere, they have after all been around since the 20's, they've built up a rather large fanbase.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - the new "America's team"
TBH, I don't want to be known as"America's team"
I always thought it was such a dumb nickname, implying its supposed to be the team everyone likes.
Fuck that.

We should push for the Black Sheep of the NFL title. We could be all goofy and lovable just like Chris Farley.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - the new "America's team"
Americas team is the team most americans like to hate.
I guess that could describe the Vikings in the past.
We have a good team. But we are getting way ahead of ourselves.
Until the Vikings actually accomplish the ultimate win, they won't get, or deserve to get respect.
Respect is earned by results.
We may be on our way. But we aren't there yet.
If we win tomarrow, we are a good team that took one more big step on the smooth, golden path.
We lose and we are on a road with a lot of traffic, dodging pot holes. A place we have been many times before.
Besides, win or lose, the Vikings are my team. America can't have them.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
