Minnesota Vikings: Another Boat Cruise!!!

[size=18px]Benefit boat cruise is good, clean fun[/size]

Uh, oh. Another Minnesota Viking is planning a boat cruise.

But organizers say there's no need to worry. This cruise hosted by Pro Bowl center/Matty B's partner Matt Birk will be nothing but good, clean fun.

"It's not as juicy as last year's cruise," says Matty B's co-owner Hassan Abdel-Moneim, referring to the sex scandal that erupted after a Vikings' boat party on Lake Minnetonka last October. "This is for families."

Birk will host the charity boat cruise on July 16, and proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The fundraiser includes a noon to 2 p.m. champagne brunch at Matty B's in downtown St. Paul followed by a three-hour cruise on the Mississippi River, complete with live bands and swing and rumba lessons.

Tickets are $50 for the boat ride, $100 for the brunch and cruise. For more information, call 651-227-1100.

Someone(s) did do that awhile back when Birk spoke out about the Players Union & put the blame on Upshaw.

Someone does that almost anytime Matt Birks name is mentioned.

It was because Birk yelled at poor Randy when he left the sidelines early, and a lot of people blamed Birk for Randy being traded.

birk's an amazing player and person, i dont care what anyone says =)

I'm surprised he went with the boat theme after last year. Not saying there is anythign wrong with it, I just think the last thing they'd want to associate with would be a boat.

It's a good idea, but a little to soon to go back to using boats.

Get back on the horse and prove that a boat cruise can be done responsibly. Good for Birk.
