3. Favre lost by 3 and Vick by 17.
4. Favre has a better completion %
5. Favre has a better passing rating. (Which you love)
6. Favre had a better overall record during that Championship run.
7. Favre has much more playoff experience
8. Favre has much more passing yards per game.
9. Favre has more TDs per game.
10. Favre gets sacked less.
11. The INTs are not much different per game (1.1 to .7)

I'm not for Vick in the slightest... but by using Zeus' vague definition of success... you can list everything you want, but Favre hasn't seen "real success" in the past 10 years.

Agreed.

There is plenty that both Favre and Vick have done in their NFL careers.
I for one wouldn't want Vick because of what he did.
However statistics aside he is a very dangerous player that could make an offense better.
Is he a good fit for the Vikings?
I don't know but either way I don't want to know.

Vick has eclipsed the single season rushing yards for a QB.
Has taken his team to an NFCC game.
Has beaten numerous teams with his legs.
He's also not been the most accurate of passers.

Favre:
Has taken his team to an NFCC.
Has made the playoffs several times.
Has eclipsed the record in all time passing yards, all time TDs and all time INTs.
He has played in close to 300 straight games as a QB.
He has made his WRs/line look good with his rativity.

Just because the guy did't win a superbowl doesn't mean he didn't help the team. Lots of good players lose, doesn't mean there not good, Barry Sanders never won anything either. I remember Vick being a pretty big part of getting his team atleast 1 win, against the Vikings.

The last thing we need, as a run oriented offense, is to have a QB that will make defenses focus on the run even MORE.
We need a guy to stretch out defenses, not make them crowd the line even more.
