    Mid-Term Grades

The mid-term grades are in for the team. Here they are (and yes, they are very biased, so feel free to add your own):

    - QB: D
    - RBs: A
    - Off. line: B+
    - Receivers: D
    - Def.line: B+
    - Linebackers: C
    - Secondary: B
    - Special Teams: D
    - Coaching: D

    A D for QB's and Coaches...you must be grading on a curve.
    You're too kind.

I basically agree with most.. I think the team has played well for the game plan and schemes they have been given

But I don't agree with both of the grades u gave the lines

B+ for offensive line? They can not pass block

And B+ for D line? WHOAAAAAA.. We get NO pass rush.. Even K-will is slacking

    Re: Mid-Term Grades

I give the off.line B+ for creating massive holes for Peterson to run through. Check out that Bears game, the blocks were SICK. Kleinsasser is way underrated for his blocking, BTW. The sacks we give up are coverage sacks, because our receivers don't come back and help out, and our QBs suck. I don't hang that on our line. (exception: McKinnie sucks).

I give the D-line A+ for run defense, and the D-line a C- for pass rush, which brings it to B+ overall, I think. Actually, we only really get a pass rush when we bring linebackers. Maybe the grade for D-line should be B-.

How about this: most overrated, most underrated:

Overrated: Childress, Tarvaris, McKinnie, Greenway, Griffin.

Underrated: Kleinsasser, C. Taylor, Winfield, Rice.

does your A+ d line ranking involve letting a rookie Ryan Grant run for 119 yds?

I don't know. I consider that game an anomaly. If you look at the season overall, we have stopped the run.

I think D for QB and Coaching is very generous, Special Teams I think has done a pretty solid job this year, Kluwe has been kicking the Hell out of the ball on punts and the Longwell has been solid as well with the few chances he has gotten. With the exception of the 109 Yard
return which is a hard play to cover anyways they have done solid. Not sure where the D is coming from at all. I would give them one of the better grades so far this year. Opposite cn be said for the secondary, with the exception of Winfeild and the game we have played against SD Our DB's would be a C-Minus at best

    Re: Mid-Term Grades

One major issue I have is that the corners have not pressed the opposing receivers on the line. Didn't we draft Cedric Griffin to do just that ? And yet, he checks the guy briefly and let's him run downfield. I also dislike Cover 2. Zone defense means no one is responsible when they get beat.

Henderson has been a monster all over the place. I think Cedric Griffin has been a disappointment. Greenway I think is o.k. at best. Winfield is excellent. Kenechi is non-existent. Where is Erasmus James ? What happened to Kevin Williams ? Dwight Smith has been good. Williamson is a major disappointment. Wade is mediocre at best.

Adrian Peterson is a total stud (duh) ! Just had to add that.
    ;D
