Meet Albert Young, possible backup to Adrian Peter
Meet Albert Young, possible backup to Adrian Peterson"Probably not enough has been said about Albert Young," Childress said, which is accurate because not anything has been said about him. "Albert Young is a guy that has developed here tremendously in the last two years. As a matter of fact, Brett Favre and I had a long conversation about him when we were down south, and he believes he's got a chance to be a good back in this league."Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Though Childress says the Vikings aren't interested in Brian Westbrook, tailback is one of the most fungible positions in the game. If a guy they like squirts through to round three or four of the draft, Chilly and company could pull the trigger on another rookie.
Really just quoted the above for the word "fungible":
I don't have a problem with how they are handling the loss of Chester. Sounds like they are giving it the right amount of focus.fun·gi·ble? ?/?f?nd??b?l/ Show Spelled[fuhn-juh-buhl] Show IPA

Hello, Albert! Nice to meet you, but I'd rather have my money on Ian Johnson. However, I don't think that the coaches will place Ian above Albert on the depth chart.
I'm very convinced that this is how the depth chart will look in 2010 if the Vikes don't draft a RB:
1. Adrian Peterson (will see his most carries in a season now that Chester Taylor is gone. Definitely if Favre doesn't come back for a last season)
2. Albert Young (he can do it all, but not spectacular. Has the potential to be a good third down back. I admit! I see some Chester Taylor in him)
3. Ian Johnson (somewhere between Albert and Adrian in versatility, the same goes for his running abilities. I like the way he plays and hope that he can get some carries.)

With a couple of exceptions, they all have worked out pretty good, even though it did take some time.

Re:Meet Albert Young, possible backup to Adrian Peter
I'd be comfortable with Young in there as a back up. Its probably better for us than having Tomlinson. The only reason that I wanted LT is that it would look awesome to have two of the greatest running backs on the same team. But if young or johnson can develop into a solid back up for years to come i'll be happy
I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. I am an emotional 19 year old Viking fan and I expect you to adjust your expectations from my posts.
