Re: McKinnie hires Drew Rosenhaus as his agent

Maybe McKinnie realizes this team isn't going anywhere with it's current QB situation and is tired of playing for a coach that can't coach.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

    Does this mean contract renegotiations?

Why switch now with several years left on his contract? He signed a 7 year deal at the end of 2006.
The article in the STrib indicated that that was not the plan in switching.
Agents do have other responsibilities for their clients than just contracts.

That said - Rosenhaus makes me nervous.

    =Z=
my understanding from an email list is that Rosenhaus won't get paid anything until a new contract comes up, so I don't trust his motives
I'm a bit scared as well.

If McKinnie doesn't think this team is going anywhere we should get rid of him now. If it wasn't for his off the field conduct and 4 game suspension we may have won 1-3 more games last year. That could have meant a first round bye and then who knows. I think McKinnie is probably excited about being on a true contender, hasn't always been the case.

    Dear Mac,
As I long time fan of yours I hope and pray that you are not oing this to ask for more money. You should be making anywhere north of 6 million a year which is very lucrative for an OT. You just signed your last deal 3 years ago. I realize like you do that you will be 33 by the time your ocntract is up but damn it...play your contract out...

    Love Kevon!

and Rosenhaus's little stunt yesterday when he dropped the news the news about Allison was bang out of order. The league should come down hard on him for this but they won't of course because it didn't happen to the likes of Cowboys, Pats etc.
We might not have got much for him but a 7th is better than nothing - another good reason for disliking the self centred shit.

Does anyone know how much money Rosenhaus makes per year?

He reminds me of people like Don King, Frank Maloney and Frank Warren in it for teh money and screw everything and everyone else.

They should set up independant arbitars who have no player team loyalty and who can broker a deal that's fair to both parties ratified by the NFL.

Issue like TO etc would be less likely to happen as agents won't be filling their heads with "you're worth so much more than they're paying" crap
