Re: McKinnie hears Chiefs' trash talk

A rookie calls out McKinnie and Cook.
I hope it lights a candle under their butts, they certainly need it.
Shouldn't be hard for them to get motivated now...I would hope they would punch the greenhorn in the mouth next time they see him.
Maybe they should just look down their own line and ask Hutch, "what would you do, big fella?"
    I pity the fool.

Well, hopefully McKinnie and the other tackles will start being more physical and start knocking people on their asses!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Thats to me would be a pretty clear indication. Time to start running people down and showing D-Linemen who is really soft.

I saw a quote from Herm Edwards after the two practices where he said the Vikings are a very physical team.
That one almost gave me a woody!

Big talk from a big disappointment.
McKinnie needs to step up this season.

    =Z=
The biggest words came from the ROOKIE that said that the "tackles were soft."
Yes, the rookie said all Ts were soft
He may not even played a down directly in front of McKinnie for all we know.
    It was a sound bite.

"On the show, McBride was shown beating two of the Vikings' unheralded tackles, and he had a solid pass rush on McKinnie that wasn't aired. But McKinnie is eager for the Sept. 23 game against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium"

That quote was taken from the article but does McBride understand that McKinnie is fresh off an injury and just resumed practicing?

While our entire OLINE did disappoint in 06, McKinnie, having the biggest contract, disappointed me the most.
His play has been inconsistent for most of his career, always seeming to "almost" be a pro-bowler.
If this motivates him to PANCAKE some MOFOs then, HELL YEAH!!!
He better be ready for Mr. Leonard Little tonight!

And, yeah, I liked that "physical" comment too!!
I'm thinking that our boys still remember most of what Tomlin had to say..."Play like your hair's on fire!" etc...

I actually announced when they said that in the yell the other day.

I really think McKinnie is gonna have a good season though, the other tackle is where my main concern is.

Childress should paste that on every lineman's locker and make them listen to it on their i-pod during practice. Maybe it would get a little nasty in them.

I love the way you think! Unfortunately I think the coaches are going to have to help him out a little with the speed rushers. The price he pays for size is slow feet.
But I'm definately on board with that "PANCAKE some MOFOs" concept.
