McKinnie catches up after his suspension

McKinnie catches up after his suspension

The Vikings left guard missed the first four games because of a league suspension, but he believes he is improving his play in each game.

I think so as well. I saw him manhandled Mario Williams single handlly last game. Although there was a play or two where Mario got the better of him,
I have never seen someone block Mario and then toss him like a rag doll to the floor. A great series of games....
Where are all those complaing about his "slow feet"

I'm right here. He does have slow feet. But I agree he has played very well since his return. Let's hope it continues. He seems fresh and motivated. Let's see how he performs as the season wears on.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

here's one
one game doesn't make a season and I still say that he is lazy and has slow feet. Good that he did it against Mario but until he does it week after week then I won't consider him an elite LT like some do.

Who better could he play against?

If we're worried about his speed, and he handled Mario Williams I don't know why we'd still be worried.

like I said when he does it consistently then we won't need to be worried, until then I'm not convinced.

Allen plans to play

Vikings players are confident defensive end Jared Allen will play Sunday against the Packers, even though he has a serious shoulder injury. "He's a tough guy," coach Brad Childress said.

There are many players who can't play with a sprain of the AC joint of the shoulder, because they can't tolerate the pain.

Allen played with it in the second half of the 28-21 victory against the Houston Texans on Sunday, and finished the game with two hurries and two sacks. He argued with defensive line coach Karl Dunbar for quite some time before he was allowed to re-enter the game.

"That injury happened in the first half and he was able to press on," Childress said. "We just couldn't keep him off the field."

Allen guaranteed Wednesday that he will play.
