True, but as I recall, he DID block him...I agree that his play has been somewhat up-and-down so far this season. Matt Birk seems to be havng a quiet season so far too. Hutch on the other hand has lived up to his paycheck and Hicks and Johnson are quietly playing mistake fre football. Hope the line settles down and gels by mid-season.
I almost choked on my soda when we had Mewelde blocking Peppers. That was just brutal!

McKinnie took pass plays off when Peppers was rushing on his side apparently. ;DThe superstar mike morris thought he took plays off, i was at the game so i really did not pay too much attention to one player.
He also played against one of the best so you cant expect him to completely shut him down.
It is also week 2 so you cant really get on him yet, the line will get better the more they play together.
I dont think we need to worry yet, plus we won so sit back and enjoy it.
OK, I am a jiggly butt, but even if he only gave up that "one sack" (quoting a previous post) to Peppers, Peppers caused hurries on both sides of the line to go with his sacks.
Someone that can go back and watch the tape could probably count the times he lined up on each side of the line.....and really give us an educated answer, but I am just going from what I remember.
What I remember to be fact is that Peppers had on hell of a game no matter who he was playing against.
He was downright disruptive.
He was balls to the walls, all out!

Re: McKinnie
I agree that Peppers had an outstanding night and was hard to block, but I saw him over Johnson alot and when McKinnie didn't have to block Peppers he still seemed to sand bag it too many plays for his salary.
I might be too hard on him but when you sign the big contract I expect you to bring a full set of tools to the jobsite, not just a hammer and some duct tape.
Overall I do think the line will come together and be pretty darn solid, I just hope he doesn't become the weakest link

I'm suprised with as much crow as you ate last week, you'd be so sure to run your mouth this week.Im very unhappy with our OLine. I dont think any of them are lving up to the mass amount of money we are paying them. Its just an average line right now.
lets see Vikings win, CT 113 yards rushing I was very happy.
I remember not being to run at all last year against this team.

I am going to sleep happy tonight!
I clearly remember that disgusting game last year!

Re: McKinnie
Peppers wasn't just devouring the O linemen he faced.. he was everywhere!!
on the fake FG td pass.. he was the one pushing owens outta bounds..
he blocked the FG
he was EVERYWHERE!!
hte man is a STAR and he did what STARS's do..
the fact he only had what 3 sacks.. speaks volumes.. mostly for his ability.. but also for our quick releasing qb, and decent protection.. i didn't see many times us moving the ball as we wanted.. but u know what... we moved the ball!!!!
C.t did very well.. and his 100+ yrd games will keep coming behined that O line.
keep the faith!!
