He returned to a bar that he had a police escort out, then returned only to end up hitting the bouncer over the head with a metal pole. How is that overblown? He is the one that returned to the seen of an earlier conflict, which makes him the agressor, which is agravated assult, which is a felony. Overblown? Not likely.
    So you were there?
Or are you the judge and jury?
The article just points out that reports coming out might have been inaccurate, and they may have been we don't know.
Why don't you wait until the court date before knowing what happened.
Didn't quite work that way for any other sports figures in recent memory...hmmm.
The court of public opinion will ALWAYS pass judgment before the judicial system does.
Which is one of the main reasons that in a jury trial, the judge usually sequesters the jury...so that they can't read the newspapers.
That is just the way it goes....not right, but realistic.
Too bad most jury trails start about 6 monthst after ESPN has beat it to death and public opinion has already made up their minds. ould you imagine if PPO was his jury pool. OMG...he would do life!
That is part of what you accept when you become a professional athlete.
It comes with the millions and millions of dollars that he is making.
If he doesn't like being in the spotlight, then he can return those millions and go work in an office somewhere.

Besides, I haven't seen anything to make me think that the incident was "overblown".
If he has his court data and is found guilty, I will happily admit I was wrong.
I just don't think that is going to happen though.

Glad to see clearer heads have prevail. I was waiting for the Mac haters to rear their heads.
    No sign of them?
What clearer heads? Heads of people who were not even there?

The police were called & he was told to leave by a police officer for a reason the first time & arrested for a reason the second time. Let's not forget that.

Nowhere in any of the other reports did I read of anyone else getting arrested in this incident.

This is what people seem to want to forget. Its a fact that he was told to leave the club by the police, the reason for it is quite irrelevent. Returning back there makes him the agressor and if he hit the guy it is automatically aggravated assult; which is a felony. If he didn't hit the guy, it is still simple assult for comming at him in a threating mannor.

I know that if it was me or you that did something like this, we would be looking at a prison sentence. We have to wait and see whats in store for Bmac.

One thing to remember is...even if hes not convicted he could still get suspended.

You'll see. this will be a break out year for him, and he'll struggle to prove that his off the field probs are over.. at least till he gets a new contract."

i'm kinda with him, at least hoping that bigMck realizes this.. otherwise.. it's gonna be a long season..
