During that Favre saga over there in Green Bay, I distinctly remember seeing a clip of Ted Thompson saying they were moving on. And later that day or a day or so later, I saw a press conference where McCarthy said Brett would be welcome if he came back.
There was another presser the next day where McCarthy did an about face and said the organization was going in another direction.
I truly believe the decision was Ted's and McCarthy wanted his 13-3 QB back for one more year.
Yes I believe he does respect Brett.
In fact, he hasn't done too well since, has he now?
