Re: Matt Birk
Marrdro makes an excellent point however, Birk as a professional has given his all to the Vikings.
Always with the hope of improvement yet it never seems to happen.
Who could blame him if he isn't quite focused on his game?
We're bummed as fans, imagine how he must feel?

yes I agree skills diminish with age and thats part of the problem but I can tell when a guy is giving a half arsed effort. Some yutz on here has been advocating for his replacement for a couple of years based on his play.
Now you guys are saying it is a attitude/lack of motivation problem...... :
I would never go that far.
Matt is a professional ball player that comes to the field to play (unless its OTA's) each and everyday and gives 100%.
His problem is that he is getting a bit long in the tooth and his skills are diminishing.
Nothing more, nothing less.
To say anything otherwise is to degrade/demean the effort he puts forth each and every game.
Long story short, players age, their skills diminish.
Sometimes its hard to accept that both from a fans standpoint as well as the player himself.
His 2nd half was not pretty for whatever reason .... he better figure it out cause that was an emberassing game whatever the reason

Hard to say exactly what happen, lazy job by Herrera, not necasarilly a bull rush he just beat him bad, more around the outside of his right shoulder.
