The combine, senior bowl, and other pre-draft events might influence things a bit, as well.
Exactly. If more defensive players start turning heads, we can see them going. Other than the Vikings Jaguars, and possibly Oakland, the rest of the teams aren't in dire straits to get a QB. The Texans still have Schaub and maybe he fits what O' Brien is looking for. Tampa has Mike Glennon and may go in a different direction. Rams don't need a QB, and Cleveland has Hoyer who is most likely the starter once he returns from injury.
My thoughts here are that anything can happen between now and the draft in May. If the Vikings really need a QB which they do, and they figure one of these guys are a can't miss prospect, then they can trade up. We can go defense in the later rounds and free agency, then go for depth the rest of the way. Plus we don't have to necessarily give up a lot of picks in this draft.
