The subject of the Vikings heading west if they don't get public help to build a stadium isn't new, and came up again after Anschutz Entertainment Group President Tim Leiweke told the Orange County Register on Thursday that the Vikings were one of five NFL franchises with which he has spoken.

Who here actually believed Wilf when he said the topic of the Vikings moving to LA was not discussed when Leiweke met with him in Minneapolis a few weeks ago?

Of course it was brought up. More than likely something like this:


Ziggy: Hey, do me a favor and issue a press release every week or two linking the Vikings to your proposed stadium so we can keep the extortion racket going.


Leiweke: Hey, no problem buddy. We will keep it up until you get the state over a barrel before we tell everyone that we really are going after the Chargers.

Ziggy: Hey thanks, I appreciate it.

Leiweke: No problem. All I ask is that you guys discreetly issue a press leak every so often stating that it is still possible for the Vikings to move here so I can keep my extortion racket going too. We need to stick together buddy.
