Re: Looking at the remaining schedule for the north.........

    I'm thinking 8-8 would be a blessing.
7-9 is more realistic and 6-10 gets us a new head coach.

Out of all of that I would like 6-10

It would be VERY frustrating, but we need a new coach

I would not be happy with 8-8 again.. We would miss the playoffs..

Sad that I would want that.. But I would rather get some chances done then go 8-8 and miss the playoffs again and have Chilly in for atleast another year

Childress makes a great cordinator because he is technical. He likes numbers he likes probability but I think he lacks the ability to lead. I have been fighting wanting him gone for a long time but I too would like to see someone else in there. Someone that the team would fight for. I think the guy is smart and he knows more about football then i ever will but he is best suited to cordinate, not to lead.

    100 percent agreement

I do think if Bevell wasn't there it would help.. But never the less he isn't a leader

Chilly wasn't all that good in Philly.. But I think with his headcoaching experience his coordinating will have improved

Maybe he is best suited to hand out assignment sheets and statistical readouts for the players and other coaches. Whatever it is I agree with you he doesnt get this team prepared to win emotionally. We need a basic scheme and someone to breath some life into this team. Get them jumpstarted I have a feeling Chilly piles it on even more when it doesnt work. No proof but I think he probably complicates it more after a loss. I hear his explosive play theory and statistics. Fuck you Chilly. Get your players to drop their nuts and hit someone when it counts.

Re: Looking at the remaining schedule for the north.........

Not looking so shiny to me.
I could easily see us losing all of those road games!
Especially, at The Bucs, Cards, and Bears, they are all pretty decent teams.
The way we've been playing lately, we might even lose to the lions...d'oh!!
I'm still hoping for a winning streak, but the liklihood is going down fast.

Although, If Rodgers is out, I got to like the idea of the Packers going down too.
CHI is playing better football with Orton at QB, and so far, their D is pretty healthy, and therefore pretty good...they could be the winners.
Just when I thought the Black N Blue was back, its looking like somebody could win the North with an 8-8 record or slightly better.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: Looking at the remaining schedule for the north.........

Our remaining schedule is very favorable, which is why I'm one of the few who hasn't panicked yet. I don't know about winning 11 games, but I think 9 is possible.

We obviously have to play better than we have so far. But, I don't think it's a stretch to say we can finish with a 9-7 record.

Count me as on board in this club you two are starting.
I do disagree with one thing though.
I think that Childress is gone at 8-8 or even 9-7 if we miss the playoffs.
I like Childress as a technical football mind (as Del said), but I do not think he is cutting it as coach.
How many times do teams just mosey on down the field on us at the beginning of games? It seems to happen a lot and I think that is the coach not getting the team into the right mindset. The timeout to then use a challenge and cost us another timeout was ridiculous as well.
Don't get me wrong ... that call was flat out wrong ... and it in essence knocked us out ... but he still should have had the challenge out right away and saved one of the timeouts.
It is probably time for this team to look in another direction if their are not drastic changes in our outlook soon.

You like Childress as a "Technical Football Mind"? HAHAHAHA.... Why? What has he done to warrant that?
