I first thought this article was going to be about performance on the field. Boy, how silly of me to think that I was going to read something football-related stuff on a football forum.

[sarcasm off] On a serious note, it would be nice to hear some reports from training camp on how the next generation punter is doing.

    Welcome to the offseason!

If you hated that article due to it's lack of football related info, you're really going to hate "The Clubhouse", Two Beers Minimum", "Hall of Famers Speak" & "Free Beer" areas of PurplePride.org.

It has been a few months since you posted in the "True HOF thread"

No, I didn't hate the article, singersp. Sorry, wasn't meant like that. I just haven't heard much about Locke's punting. I'm anxious to find out.

Any post is better than no post, anyways.

I think we'll find that they are not much different on the field either. The best Punter in the league had a NET average of 43.2yards per kick. Kluwe had 39.7. The worst in the NFL 36.5.
So the difference between the best punter and the worst is 6.7yards a kick, and kluwe was right in the middle.
So whether Locke is near the top in the NFL, or the bottom, it's really not going to make a big impact.

unless he can get punts downed inside the 20 more often and inside the 5-10 would be even better.
