Lloyd hopes Vikings have room for two kickers

I think the Vikings do need two kickers, one to kick the football and the other to kick Favre's arse all the way back to Minnesota.

He definitely needs to start booming it next game or the front office may use the spot for someone else.

I think they had every intention of having two kickers on the roster, but if we are not consistently getting touchbacks and/or 2-3 yards deep with hang time, then I think he may end up out in the cold.

Lloyd was kicking them into the endzone. The exception I saw was when he kicked it to the 1 yard line, but that was after a 5 yard penalty was applied before the kick.

I didn't see the opening KO, because they were showing the end of *&%$*$@! golf.

Who the hell was showing golf over football???

My take....I am not seeing anything yet that proves Rhys is any better than Longwell and worth a spot on the roster. Just maybe ole mars is correct when he said our coverage team is the problem and not the kicker.

Two kickers? Try three, I definitely put the punter into the kicker group. No, there is not room for three kickers. Then again, Z has only Ks on his FF team.

Good post, i agree that Lloyd needs to step up on his performance in St Louis if he hopes to secure a spot as i dont see us making room for 2 kickers when we are overly loaded at other positions.

Most important thing to take there:

Rhys:
Average starting point: 27.25

Longwell:
Average Starting point: 21.5

We bring in Lloyd to make teams start from the 20 right? Not the 27.25. Longwell was far better.

I felt like Chilly was kicking with Longwell because he wanted Longwell to show him he did not need to use two spots on a kicker.

Ryan failed ... I imagine we will see both of them kickoff in the next game ... hopefully a couple times each.
