Yes, its a division game....yes, they have a tradition of playing us tough, yes its an away game.....but I dont see this game being close at all.
Lets go with 35-6.
(35-13 with a punt return thrown into the mix)

The same exact thing could have been said before last year's match-ups against the Lions and we were lucky to win either of those games...just sayin.

With that said we SHOULD get a blowout win, lets hope for the best eh?

Divisional games are always a worry, we play each other twice a year and they know us better than every other team that we will play.
Not to mention games we SHOULD win, are always scary... the team needs to not fall asleep and play lackluster against a team just because they think its in the bag.


Lions were close against us both games last year, I remember them almost beating the Bears and the Packers too.


We play the way we can and should play and we will hand them a loss they will never forget... but... you just never know.

Exactly. Peterson had a total of 47carries 216yds 0td 4fumbles 2lost in the 2 games against Detroit last year. I can't even imagine the Lions defense could be worse this year than last.

That's even more embarassing - they held AD in check (somewhat) @ 4.5 yards per carry, AND forced 4 F'ing fumbles.

Here is our wild card against Detroit. I think we sweep them this year.

No such thing as an easy win in the NFL, but this is as close as it gets.

My thoughts exactly. Even a bonehead offensive coordinator would be able to find a way to get Johnson matched up with our young safety at some point...I think our team is way too good to actually get beaten by the Lions, but look how close the Raiders and Bills were to upsetting some pretty good teams before you say never.

Simms always seem to step it up on stopping AD.
I think he only has one game over 100 yards against them.
Simms hit AD very hard last year several times.
I hate how they played so inspired against us.

I think our offense will have some issues.
Look for a low scoring first half.

I think you're right.
It'll be a tough divisional road game.
Vikes 21 Lions 17... although there is a potential for a blowout if we're turnover free.
