The last thing we need is another unremarkable WR.

Bennet is the best Wr on that list. Should do whatever it takes to get him and spend draft picks on Defensive pass rushers and dump the ones we have.

We obviously need to upgrade our WR corps, but I don't know if I see any names on that free agent list that look like a sure thing. And while there are some really appealing big name guys coming out of college next draft, I don't know if that's the best way to go either. I'm thinking trade. I don't know who, but an established proven veteran without any baggage seems like the best option to me.

i wouldn't be dissappointed with bennett.
sure he mabye had only one above average season, but so has Mrob, so has TTaylor, williamson hasn't hade one average season, neither has mcmullen or bethel, so bennett is an upgrade over all of them.
i also wouldn't be dissappointed with wilford.

I didn't see him on the list, but I thought Wes Welker from the Dolphins was a FA also.
He's a great possession receiver, can find the soft zone, and has great soft hands to make nice catches.

I'd honestly be pretty happy with a 1-2 receiving corp punch of Kevin Curtis and Wes Welker - of course, adding more receivers for depth as well.

I also think former Eagles boy, Billy McMullen should get an extension to come back.
He's earned it - caught the ball every time his number has been called up.
Hard to argue him as a terrific low depth chart receiver for very little cap salary.

Too bad he makes more money in one year than your enitre family tree will make in a lifetime.
    ;D

Back to WR subject, I think getting Eric Moulds would we nice. The guy can still catch.

What's funny is a TON of football fans go moronic for a 'feather-stone' type of receiver.
Tice and Company (whoever's call that was) did for Williamson, and a lot of fans also do for any receiver (except Stinkston) that has 'blazing speed'.

But the REAL receievers are the ones who can FLAT OUT catch.
Even if you can't burn, if you have amazing hands and make terrific catches, you will always be extremely valuable.
Plus, that's the ability that will last into old age - such as the likes of Cris Carter and Jerry Rice, both were old men when they were still playing.

I would much rather have Moulds than a lot of young torching receivers.
