I hope the Lions smoke you guys next year which they will with their offense.

Don't get too excited about the Lions. I live in this town and believe
me........Harrington will take this team no where. Lions will be pressured
to look for a new QB prior to the start of the 2005 season.

You sure about that. Where has Culpepper taken your team uhh nowhere yep thats what i thought. The guy is the most overrated qb in the league. All you have to do to make him fumble is go up behind him and say boo and the ball pops out. Hey viqueen fans remember the rams game last year when Aeneas Williams just leveled culpepper then returned his fumble for a touchdown. 48-17 rams now that game was awesome cause the vikings got hammered.

BTW you show your true stupidity once again viqueen fan im not a lion fan read my username. A typical post from a viking fan.

The floridianvikingfan...... As much as I love the Vikes, I can tell you
we didn't whip up on the Lions last year. I was at game number 1
in Detroit. We were loosing for most of the first half. Gus came in
late in the second qtr and played exceptional. However it was
two fourth qtr Lion posessions inside our 10 where we forced turnovers
to seal the game. In game 2 in the Metrodome, we played horrible.
The Lions held us to 1 offensive TD "at home" the entire game, and again
the defense(with two td's) one the game outright for us.

Believe me "it was a contest"

the L.A. Daily News printed grades for the offseason and the lions got a D. Obviously not everyone is sold on the Lions "upgrades." and the guy made some good points...

"Lions GM Matt Millen is getting kudos, but free-agent G Damien Woody is coming off surgery and top pick Roy Williams always disappeared against good teams such as Oklahoma. The Lions will regret passing on Winslow, long after Millen is gone."

The Lions should be much improved, but I don't think they will contend. Rogers and Williams SHOULD be one of the best recieving tandums in the league in years to come, but not yet. There are a number of reasons why. 1) They have a very average O-Line 2) they have no running game to speak of 3) Niether Harrington nor the backup perform under pressure 4) MATT MILLAN. With no running game teams can rush only 4, drop linebackers back and have 4 in coverage.

You might have missed the draft but Kevin Jones is now their RB, and they got a new O-Line guy in FA

The kitties made some very nice moves, but they did finish last in offense last year.

They Improved enough to surpass the Green Bay Fudge, but not enough to topple the mighty Vikings. The Fudge will be cellar dwellers this year.

I don't know, even with good players the Lions seem to find ways not to contend since, what is it, the 50s?
Faster than a speeding Grady Jackson! More powerful than a Nick Barnett! Able to leap Ahmad Carroll in a single bound! Look! Up in the sky! It s a bird! It s a plane! It s Jermaine Wiggins!
