I would really like us to pick up Ian Gold anyone out there think its a possibility :?:

I read the Sports Article today in the pioneer press and they siad the vikes might try to go after Ian Gold after the draft..i agree he would be an excellent addition! :colors: :rr: :cheers:

They should wait and see what happens in the draft. If they get Vilma or Williams then I don't think they should bother with Gold. If they don't get someone capable of starting though, they should try to sign him. Definitely don't want Crocket playing again next year.

I do NOT want the vikings to draft DJ Williams, yes he is faster and stronger than vilma but i think he will be a bust, he never developed his football instincts to match up with his rare athletisism, if he wasnt a Hurracaine he wouldn't have near this much hype, he would be way down the list. I think the only way to go is to try to get Vilma he will not be a bust i garantee, and where he plays (weakside) he will be an impact player right away, we do not need any projects

I really like Gold, i know he tore his knee apart but I think he would be a great pick up.

I read on the offical page just a few moinutes ago that tice is happiel with nattiel and won't be looking for a backer. I agree that nattiel shows promise but It would be nice to nab one of the hurricanes.

I'm not sure about taking Vilma. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have like 4 natural middle linebackers? I realize the new trend is smaller, faster linebackers, but OLB is the position we really need help at. A relatively big backer (a la Williams) or even a converted defensive (a la Smith) would allow us to move Claiborne to the inside and really make us a force. Just my opinion.
