I'm going to find it extra amusing if Ferotte does what I think he will and we win.
What Ferotte will do is probably have a average or a little lower completions percentage with low yardage and limited turnovers with maybe a score, but if we pull out the win everybody will be praising the QB move.
I don't expect much out of him but I'll being cheering hard anyways.

    Get the big win Vikes!

    i know right.
my favorite part are the guys saying that now we can open up the playbook.
ummm, tavaris has been reading the playbook for 3 years, ferrotte has been here like 4 months.
what we've been seeing is the playbook.
    ugh.
but we can still do it.

I see a football team as a toolbox.
Lots of different options to get the job done.
If Gus is the tool for this Sunday's win, cool, lets use him.
What ever it takes to win.
Someone once told me "if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail"
We have a good toolbox, lets open it up and use it.
Its better to lose the first game than the last one.

Are optomistic threads even allowed here during the regular season? Hell, I haven't seen one since the offseason.

I wish more people would follow your lead. There are far too many Schleprocks & Chicken Little's here.

IMO, all we are lacking is a decent OC, OLC & a head coach & other coaches that can motivate their players. We have the talent & we should be winning. We are playing good, but not good enough. I am hoping Frerotte can provide a spark & I am positively thinking we can turn this season around.

After Gus has a poohie first half, they bring in the young gun Tjack and he throws for 200 yards and 2 TDs and the vikes win
    haha

Gus'll do fine...but I've got a good feeling that whenever TJack is back on the field he'll be fine
