Lets try some optimism...

Haven't been on in a while and here is the reason. I like coming to this site to discuss the Vikings and all just like all of you. Since sunday though the mood and everything is so nit picky.

I really haven't had that want to get on because every thread seems to be about everything that is wrong with the Vikings. Yes, i know that we can discuss what we are doing wrong, but ugh it gets old.

I am not saying that I wish for it all to stop or that we become these fans that think everything is ok with their team a.k.a the Lions., but can we try some optimism. When i was in Live Chat on Sunday, it was the worst ever. Everyone was just bashing the Vikings even when they showed some promise. It got old and i finally just left the live chat.

Now even most of the huddle is on how Gus won't help us out or how our receiving core sucks blah blah blah. I know things aren't going as good as we thought... but how bout we look at some of the good points instead of always the bad.

OK, here's positives.

1. AD is playing like a beast.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has 16 games over 100 yards.
I love this guy!

2. Hicks!
I was worried about him taking over for McKinney, but he's exceeded my expectations.
He handled a tough GB and Colts pass rush.
He handled Jenkins, KGB, and Freeny, some of the best pass rushers.
I think he will also do well against Peppers.

3. The OL as a whole.
They are opening holes for the run game.
They are forming good pockets.
Only given up 3 sacks, D blitzed for 2.

4. Longwell 7 for 8.
Couldn't believe his old leg made the 53 yarder.

5. Kluwe, his kicking in the Colts game was great.
Not responsible for TD return against GB, which crushed his net stats.

6. Mills another guy that is stepping up, making plays when give a chance.

Our Defense is beast, Allen got his first sack as a viking, and nobody still can run on us.
And it's about time someone said something like this, from what I've been reading you would figure we're out of playoff contention already or something.

Im very optimistic. All this team needs is passing completions...

Don't you know. Most of the posters on here are better coaches and know more about football than anyone else from playing Madden?

Well I am riding the Gus Bus on Sunday and very optimistic.

I just hope the bus doesn't drop a tranny or wind up getting towed off the highway.

Running game is strong.
defense is dominant against the run again and overall doing pretty good. o-line creating some nice lanes and creating a good pocket (you cant hold the ball for 5 seconds).
Coach had the balls to see he was wrong and made a change.
Longsmell doing his job well.
