    Andy
Dalton is good. But apparently not good enough, he keeps failing in the playoffs.

At this point, I find myself back where I started with QBs... we must be getting close to the draft!!

If we draft Manziel, Bortles, or Bridgewater without trading up (please God NO), I will be happy. We have 2 good set of eyes (Zimmer and Turner) to help pick a QB, and teams have to go through the process until they find their starter.

As long as we don't trade away future draft picks on a potential bust, I will be ok with whatever they do.

We might just get Bridgewater after all, but I expect that to happen after a trade down...

I now can legitimately see us dropping back to the late teens to early twenties (maybe even a trade with Frisco?) to get more picks, then get Bridgewater late in the first round.

Lets be REAL! The Vikings Will Select Bridgewater

If tha vikings draft him it would be in a trade back or a trade up frm tha second round back to tha first, and Speilman and Zimmer made it clear that they are using Turner on finding QB and his history on QB's are pretty good

Either way ... there was only one hit in that draft and it was Newton ... that is often how it goes (Kaepernick could still be a big one too). I have no problem with selecting Gabbert, Locker or Ponder and hoping they are a hit. I would have preferred we traded back and got Ponder later, but that is life. You have to keep drafting top 5 draft QBs in order to ever hit on one. Sometimes you miss (Jeff George) and then not long later you can hit it big (Peyton Manning).
I never read it anywhere either midge. I watched it that year. Gabbert was expected to go earlier, but he slipped and the Titans surprisingly took Locker over Gabbert. During Dallas time on the clock the announcers said the Vikings were trying to swing a trade with Dallas. they stated the Vikings were trying to get Gabbert as he was not likely to get by Jacksonville. Eventually the trade did not go thru and Dallas used the pick. turns out none of them amounted to much. Speculation was before the draft Locker could be there for us.

Dalton is absolutely not a hit. And Russell Wilson was not in that draft.

Sherman's NFL mock draft 2.0 (Rounds 1-2) | Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia

There you go, Teddy Bridgewater to the Vikings...at pick #40!! After landing Mike Evans, a kid with the size, leap, speed and hands to be the next Calvin Johnson. Pairing him with Flash Patterson and playing Jennings and Wright from the slot would likely be the best 4 WR set The Vikings have ever seen...and spread things out for Mr. Peterson to do some real damage!!
