Let’s talk Quarterbacks - NOT THE ONE STARTING
Let’s talk Quarterbacks

Hey Vikings fans.
Let’s talk quarterbacks.
More specifically, let’s talk about quarterbacks who WON’T be starting for the Minnesota Vikings this year.
Currently, there are three guys on the roster who will not be starting:
Tarvaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfels, and John David Booty.....

Unless we keep 4 QB's, which is very unlikely, I agree with the author here that Booty is the odd man out.

It would be a shame to lose JDB, ala Thigpen after spending so much time grooming him."PurpleTide" wrote:

I'm sick of these speculators. Everyone wants to believe in T-Jack because of his potential and mobility but he shows us why we should doubt him also. It's a 50/50 on any given sunday with him. He does hold the ball way to fricken long for my liking. Though with Jackson it doesn't seem as bad because he uses his legs to get out of trouble, and sometimes into deeper trouble. Jump passes...this is not the NBA. Throwing off his back foot when he doesn't need to? The list goes on.
I bet you could use a cool one huh Clark...Now you're talkin Eddie...

We spent more time (on the field especially) and only a bit more money on TJ, some would say that TJ still has more potential."marstc09" wrote:

Chilly says it is possible, but that could just be so they have trade value.
If people think we will dump one of these kids, they will wait.

Re: Let’s talk Quarterbacks - NOT THE ONE STARTING
I favor keeping all four.
Favre is pushing 40, it will be hard to ensure he makes all 16 games, and Sage isn't a spring chicken either.
Two teams have already said they are really looking forward at getting a shot at Favre...again (The Bears and Packers).
There are four games where you know they will be coming after the Old Guy.
A couple of lucky hits and suddenly you are down to third string.
Booty or TJ?????

Yup it would be smart to keep all 4. Sage has shown he can get injury and we all know TJ has. Favre too.I favor keeping all four.
