It's not like I was trying to get the Vikings' defenders all twitchy by bringing up a sore subject so early in minicamp. In fact, I didn't bring it up. Ben Leber did...

I like to read the players point of view on things.
Both from the past and what they see coming.
Leber was and should be again a solid player this season. With EJ in the middle and Greenway on the other side, I think again our LB Corps should be a solid force on our D.

I am still a little worried with EJ in the Middle, based on what we saw before, but I am willing to go with the belief that we will see a different player.
I liked Tomlin alot but I think that Frazier will throw a few more twists into the Defense.

There was a lot of problems with last years' defense believe it or not.
I think a lot of it had to do with where people were lined up.
They consistently had 8 in the box and the LBers were close to the LOS.
That opened the middle of the field allowing many of the big plays against them last year.


If EJ can be the player in the middle that can cover I think they will be okay.
Greenway's style of play will help as he is fast and a good cover guy.
We were great against the run because the LBers were so close.
If I could see that, I'm sure Frazier could as well and he will make appropriate adjustments.

Another big question is the pass rush.
Sure, the talent is there but can they execute.
I like the depth James, Udeze, Edwards, Scott, Roberson.
Let's just hope they stay healthy and execute.
We know the middle will be good with Williams and Williams.
With more pressure on the QBs there's no reason why this defense won't be better than last year.

I could be wrong, but I think everything in there might have actually been original. Not only that, but his cynicism was at least diminished. What's going on here?

Tom you are right as always. We will be lucky to go 8-8. All Viking fans that think that we will to the playoffs, remember that T-Jack is in his second year and Childress is a terrible coach. Watch the last two games of last season again and see why Winfield wants out. Don't live on "Fantasy Island".

Remember you read it here first. Vikes go 3-13. Childress is a complete bust as a head coach. Vikes lose Winfield and other veteran defensive players because of Childress. He should have been fired after the first year.

You almost had me in doubt there. I didn't know how to read your little smiley.

I didn't think it seemed like you to praise him

The Defense will definetly make the top 10 and should be much better than last year
keep the runn down and effectively attacking the pass. I cant wait to see the BIG D I know will show up this year.
