Latest StarCaps ruling could lead to complete vict
Latest StarCaps ruling could lead to complete victory for the NFLThough Judge Larson could decide to give the Williamses another chance to properly appeal the case via a new final order from which a new appeal could be taken, he also could decide that they had their chance, that the ruling and the record stands as it is. Thus, the league likely will be filing with the Minnesota Court of Appeals a motion to dismiss the appeal in its entirety. Unless Judge Larson throws the Williamses a bone, today's ruling implies that the Minnesota Court of Appeals could end up kicking out the case -- and that the league could end up with a green light to suspend Pat and Kevin Williams before the 2010 season ends.
And possibly before it begins. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

So basically what its saying, is that the NFL could win or lose.
Finally, at least somebody with a piece of solid information!

I find it interesting that the local rube paper doesn't go into that detail. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Contrary To Popular Belief, WilliamsWall Possibly Still In DangerEarlier today, fellow Gabber Mike pointed out that most of the media considers the most recent ruling in the StarCaps saga as another victory for Pat and Kevin Williams.
Say what you will about PFT’s Mike Florio, but I can assure you he understands the legal ramifications of this case far better than I do (and probably any other sports writer) and thus we will defer to his legal expertise on this one (thanks to reader krugjr for pointing this out).
Unfortunately, Florio concludes that this thing could potentially bite the Vikes in the you-know-what sooner than later. Here is the entire articleMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Not sure but I think they have 60 days to make the appropriate appeal.

Anyway, not being a lawyer, I think that the indications are that the NFL has two ways to win this, wereas the Wall has only a hope that the judge will give them another reprieve.
I for one, continue to hope that Judge Larson is as big a fan as I and he continue to help them out in this area.In other words, there are two ways to skin the cat. First, the NFL can win the appeal outright. Second, the NFL can attempt to convince the Minnesota Court of Appeals that Judge Gary Larson should not have blocked the suspensions pending the finalization of the appeal.

I am so sick of this. Just suspend them. We have great backups and plenty of DTs. We have Favre, there is nothing to worry about.

Great backups. Is that like a OK starter?
Plenty of DT's. We will be without 2 of them. That means our "Great Backups" will have to be "OK starters". Who goes on the field when they rotate out?
WOW.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
