Late Hit on Frerotte No-Call
With all the emphasis on protecting the quarterback lately, how in the blue hell does Ogunleye get away with hitting Gus in the back a good 5 seconds after he has thrown the football?
I mean I'm just not understanding penalizing and fining one player for clean hard hits immediately after the QB has thrown the football, but what Ogunleye did was ridiculously late and uncalled for.
I'm sure he will be fined, but what good does that do our team?
The no-call makes a difference of a field goal compared to an almost sure touchdown.
Can someone please explain to me why the ref did not call this a 15 yard roughing the passer penalty?Skol!
Go Vikings!

they didn't show the ref's face in the replay that I could see, however, his lower body clearly looks like he is facing in the direction of Gus.With all the emphasis on protecting the quarterback lately, how in the blue hell does Ogunleye get away with hitting Gus in the back a good 5 seconds after he has thrown the football?

The ref should get dinged by the league on this one.
Interesting comment by Al saying this ref hasn't called a single late hit on a QB this year...at least I think thats what he said.

The only way i can see it not being called is if the ref wasn't looking.
I'd expect a stern talking to by the commish though.

If JA is getting fined left and right then he better get a hefty one as well.

Gus totally faked it...

Re: Late Hit on Frerotte No-Call
I have a feeling Gus might have been acting a bit there.
He wasn't hit very hard, and i looked for it and there was no helmet to helmet.
I didn't see him hit his head on the turf, but he looked like trent green out there.

Gus faked it, but it was WAYYYYYYY late. Should be a fine. If JA did that it would be a suspension.
