The Vikings lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14-41. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper completed 13 of 24 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown and rushed 9 times for 46 yards. Cris Carter led the team in receiving with 4 catches for 55 yards. Randy Moss and Travis Prentice each had touchdowns. Chris Walsh recovered a fumble on special teams.
