Thread: Lance johnstone ?

What happened with Lance Johnstone ?
did we end up resigning him or did another team get the luxury of signing that mad man,

L. Johnstone 2005, 7.5 sacks , QB Hurries 17, tackels 30,

I hope he is still around

Last I heard, he was sitting by his phone waiting for someone to call.

I think he's a man without a team right now.

any ideas why he's not been scooped up? Granted, he has been used by the Vikings most frequently on passing downs, but those stats are still respectable. Does he have a disagreeable demeanor or is he not a team player?

He's not listed on the Vikings.com roster, so I'm assuming he's not coming back. Linebacker Ben Leber is wearing his #51. They also signed DeQuincy Scott, who is also a (younger) pass-rushing specialist.

I would have liked to have kept him around myself, he was a good guy to have on the line. But I don't know how much he has left in the tank.

I hope he signs with a team that can really use him (except the Packers).

Good player, good guy, and hope he plays again.. Just to bad it is not with the Vikes.

Back in mid-March, there were 3 or 4 teams interested in his services . . . including the Vikes. I think he'll get picked up later in the preseason as things fall into place for teams.

It's unfortunate that we dropped him. He was a good pass-rusher and was good at roughing up the QB. I hope we resign him.
