The NFL is a quarterback-driven league. We continually heard that maxim during last weekend's NFL draft. It was clearly the rationale behind the New York Jets trading up to select Mark Sanchez. Whether or not Sanchez becomes an elite player is not the issue....

There is no doubt that the Vikings still have some questions at QB, but I don't think it will hinder the team too much this year.
With AD, Berrian, and now Harvin, we don't need an allstar QB we just need someone who can get the ball to them.
If TJack can't get the job done then we have Sage who can give it a try.
There is still plenty of time before the season starts to.
I could see Favre or Vick winding up on our roster.
I know both of those are long shots, but starnger things have happened.
Regardless of who our QB is, I think we will be fine.

Particularly striking on game film of the loss was the predictability and simplicity of Minnesota's passing game. Head coach Brad Childress and his offensive staff restricted Jackson's reading of progressions. The route combinations only attacked half the field, and as the game progressed, the Eagles' defense was able to anticipate plays based on personnel and formations.
Kind of sums up what the TJ supporters have been saying all along.
This is the year Chilly needs to take the kids gloves off and let TJ do his thing.
If he can't do that this year, I agree that Rosencopter should be starting.

I don't understand how you could see Vick here.
You may think he's a capable quarterback, but if there's anyone out there with a red flag on them from the Vikings FO, it's him, imo.
Personally, I think he's a terrible quarterback anyway.

All this is fine, and the Vikings will be successful at times. But in every game, the quarterback must make some difficult throws in long-yardage situations against pressure defenses. In these moments, the playbook is reduced, the options are limited, and the onus is on the quarterback to make accurate throws down the field, where the risk is greater.
I disagree... the offense shouldn't put itself in these sorts of positions and if it does, we are a ball control, field position team, there's nothing wrong with punting.

We dont need a franchise QB. I really think that TJ can take us to the promise land!!!

It's hard to tell whether the increased success last year was because of Gus or because of Berrian.
If TJ can play like he did at the end of last year, Harvin will put us over the top. Like last year. He simply has to get better enough to perform like that on a consistent basis. That is why I like the Sage signing. He is a barometer for TJ.
