Spielmann dropped the ball on this one, he might be a first round talent but lets adress the lines and secondary..
Shank stays. It's simply depth and it's a two TE league. Look at the pats.
You don't draft backups in the second round when you need starters..
    1) Gerhart
    2) We run double TE sets

    Not me... I called it.
We have no other TEs. Sauce is old and if Shank goes down..we are screwed. Now we can go double te....and go run our pass. Our base set of two flankers and two TEs is going ot be hard to beat
    Sasser.

Runningback is a different thing because of how the league has developed.. You can get blocking tight ends in the later rounds..

It would make perfect sense if we were to go to the 2 TE offense I have been wanting but then we should have drafted Mallet and not Ponder.

He'll replace Dugan, Sauce can help him develop his Blocking while Shank helps with Pass catching. Lots of underneath stuff to TEs and harvin in the future which will help Ponder get used to the game.

Our starter is 30 and coming off an awful year.

Rudolph is a stud. He'd easily start in the NFL. We need another TE who can go catch passes, and he is by far the best in this draft.

Gronkowski went 42 last year, Rudolph 43 this year.

    I think it's a great pick.

And I'd also like to take this time to gloat:

I like it. I'm so tired of the musical chairs we do at TE. It isn't hard to know when we are going to run......oh look Jimmy is in.......

    Finally a complete TE.
