Kurt Warner coming our way?
Today's hot sports rumors and news
Cards sending Warner to Vikes?
FOXSports.com

The Cardinals have a franchise QB. The Vikings have a whole bunch of question marks. The Pioneer Press says theres a chance Arizona could send backup Kurt Warner to Minnesota.
Not sure what to gather from this. Do we want him... do we not want him... what do purplepride.org people think?

He would probably be a better backup than Bollinger. There's buzz that the Vikings could be interested in veteran Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner.
But how much is he making and would he even want to come here?
Most people move from Minnesota to Arizona when they get that old not the other way around.

Re: Kurt Warner coming our way?
I could see it happen. I think it would be comfortable for everyone to have a reliable veteran backup, and Warner could maybe do that better than Bollinger.
I'd still hope that TJack plays so that we would never need him on the field.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Kurt Warner coming our way?
I'm not really a Kurt Warner fan, but this would be a cool pickup. Doesn't he hold the record for most passing yards in a Super Bowl?
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Re: Kurt Warner coming our way?
Usually football teams like to have a backup especially behind their 2nd year QB.
They need Warner more then we do.
In fantasy world, I'd stay with Bollinger rather then trading something for a Spread/Air it out QB.
I hope T-Jack can start putting all these national football genius' ideas to rest.
All the kids my age pee their pants, it's the coolest.

Re: Kurt Warner coming our way?
What the heck is his Madden rating......
;D
Kidding of course.
Lets not be so quick to discount this.
He did play in arena football were you had to make quick decisions with the ball.
That helped him to step in and fill a role vacated by Greens injury in a version of the WCO.
Additionally, throw in the fact that Bollinger didn't really look to good, has a huge question mark behind his ability to mentor/work/support TJ during game time situations (even though he has a QB coach) then I think this might be a good fit.
Heck if nothing else (hopefully) it would get rid of the whole "We need Holcomb" crowd.
Wonder what the Cards want for him? Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Kurt Warner coming our way?
I'm all for it. Huge upgrade over Bollinger. Good insurance policy if TJ needs more time.
Likely to just be another groundless rumor though.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Someone just dig up those overall Madden ratings of Bollinger, Warner and Holcomb, and lets get them compared once and for all so I know what my stand should be on this issue.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Well - first I think this should be in a different forum - Vikings Fans Forum, perhaps. Not sure what to gather from this. Do we want him... do we not want him... what do purplepride.org people think?
Secondly - he's probably a good option at backup, but I'm not sure I want to weather the storm of "Play Kurt Warner!!" posts if Tarvaris struggles in the first month of the season.
