Re: Koren Robinson

thanks for that. i bet we could have the most exciting trio of recievers in the NFL with Krob Williamson and Burleson once they get up to their full potential on this team. We will be explosive on offense with them. I bet in a few years or maybe next year our O will be feared once again with those reciever our O will be explosive and once we have a healthy O line and fully progessed oline our run game will go a long great with our passing game. i cant wait to see.

It was pretty awesome to see what KRob could do on Sunday. Still wasn't really sure about him until that point.

I'd like to see him worked into more sets next week. He's young, and if we can sign him after this year we have a WR corps with tons of potential. Robinson Burleson, and Williamson are all young. The situation will be interesting next year though. I think we are too deep at WR...we're stifling the development of our players. Someone has to be cut, and the way I see it...that's marcus.

BTW...does anyone know when m robinson's contract runs out?

if brad would have lead him to the end zone instead of throwing a duck that stopped in mid air, he would have 1 catch for 70 yards and a TD. that corner was way behind him.

Robinson hungry for more involvement in offense

    DAVE CAMPBELL
    Associated Press

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Each week, it seems, there are questions posed to Koren Robinson about his readiness to increase his role in Minnesota's offense.

This week, the queries seemed most appropriate following a breakout game in which Robinson returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown and also caught a 44-yard pass from Brad Johnson - by far the Vikings' longest play from scrimmage in a win over the New York Giants.

Nate Burleson has been banged up, creating a stronger chance for Robinson to emerge from a group including veterans Marcus Robinson and Travis Taylor and rookie Troy Williamson as a go-to guy for Johnson in the weeks to come. One thing that helps is Robinson's versatility; he's comfortable playing two of the three receiver spots.

"I'm just waiting to get the opportunities, that's all," he said.

Talent, of course, is another major asset. After all, he was the ninth overall pick in the 2001 draft by Seattle before alcohol and other off-the-field problems began to bring him down.

He's also proven to be a trustworthy teammate.

"You tell him something, he does it," Johnson said. "He doesn't fight back, saying, 'I used to run it this way or that way.' He's very friendly, as far as the way he runs his routes."

Robinson has made a strong impact on special teams but has only five receptions for 62 yards. Monday night's game at Green Bay would be an ideal way to pad those totals, considering general manager Ted Thompson was with the Seahawks when Robinson was drafted.

After signing him in September, the Vikings released Robinson to save some bonus money before bringing him back the next day. During those 24 hours, the receiver-starved Packers pursued him.

Loyalty, though, kept him from taking their offer.

"Minnesota came to me when nobody else came," Robinson said. "Easy decision."
