Kleinsasser and Wiggins, the dynamic duo?
In an article written by Kevin Seifert of the Star/Tribune
...While no one will mistake Jim Kleinsasser for Jermaine Wiggins, the Vikings began to use their starting tight ends more interchangeably last weekend against Detroit. Kleinsasser tied his season high with four receptions, while Wiggins went without a catch for the first time this season.
The shift almost certainly will force opponents to think more critically when defending the Vikings offense; Kleinsasser's blocking prowess and Wiggins' receiving abilities have at times this season provided clues about what play was coming.
"You can't just be throwing with Jermaine in there and just running with Jimmy in there," offensive coordinator Steve Loney said. "And I think some of it came to Jimmy being in on some passing situations and catching some balls. Jermaine has [54] catches right now. Defenses will look to defend that."
Wiggins' reception total ties him for first among NFC tight ends and fourth overall in the NFL at the position. Kleinsasser, who has returned after undergoing major knee surgery in October 2004, has 16 receptions...

Re: Kleinsasser and Wiggins, the dynamic duo?
Yeah, I'd like to see Jimmy get some more passes thrown his way. He definately has the ability to be more than a run blocker. He's just taken a backseat to Wiggins since last season. Kleinsasser has always been one of my faves.
Even babies know the difference.

No doubt. I love Wiggens and Kleinsasser, we are lucky to have them both. I would like to see both of them used in the I for blocking and running the ball as well as receiving. Smash-mouth football, that's what I'm talking about.

Re: Kleinsasser and Wiggins, the dynamic duo?
I think they are both really good TE. Wiggens receiving TE and Kleinsasser blocking. But D reed, when Kleinsasser in the game it is a run and whit Wiggens pass, so i think it is a good ide tossing balls to Kleinsasser
Nice whit two good Tight Ends
Thank to Lotza

Kleiny has terrific hands ... I hope they continue to mix them both in on runs and passes to keep the "D" honest and guessing.

Re: Kleinsasser and Wiggins, the dynamic duo?
we probably have the best te duo in the league, Jimmy is one of my favorite players because he is a team player he has really good hands for a TE and is an amazing blocker Wiggins has exceptional hands and is an ok blocker. if we use a big I (2 TE's), we could get alot out of it because we would have a power running formation, and we could also pass it to either reciever or TE's

Re: Kleinsasser and Wiggins, the dynamic duo?
Every year they say that they are gonna have Jimmy more involved in the offense but they never do. I wish that they would give that guy the ball more so we can see what he can do with it.
And he is from Nodak! Not to many guys from here playin pro ball.
