Hey, we have a history of success with receivers named Carter, let's hope he continues that streak.
theres also success with WRs that can catch the ball
How weird... I've noticed that also.

Info I found on the 2 players hat the vikings worked out, not much though

The Vikings also worked out two defensive backs on Monday at Winter Park. Dimitri Patterson (5-10, 193 pounds) and Harrison Smith (6-2, 200 pounds) were given looks.

Patterson, who played college football at Tuskegee, appeared in three games with the Washington Redskins last season and had one interception.

Smith, a rookie out of California, was let go by the Lions in the final cuts of training camp in September.

Being labeled the "leading receiver" on the Vikings is like being the smartest kid with down syndrome.

I laughed so hard when I saw this

I say down with Travis Taylor and regress Williamson's roll.
??? Down with Travis Taylor? Travis is the leading receiver on this team with the most completions & the most yards.

And odd as it may seem, despite the dropped balls, Williamson is in 2nd.

Glad to see J. Carter might get his shot, but what are you people going to say if he drops balls?

No matter how you label Travis, he is still one of the best receievers we have. You certainly don't want to bench him. Take him out of the mix & what do you have left?

I would like to see any of our receivers get quick slants.

It will be fun to see how Carter does in real time, the standard is low for the team this year so I expect him to excel on a relative basis.
That would be our luck & I can see the handwriting on the wall. He'll have some nice catches & then Childress will send him back down to the practice squad. Only this time he'll be noticed & snatched up by another team.

GB is auwfully thin on receivers right now.

Him being the leader surprises ,e a little bit because it seems like he really is not being used at all. He is IMO the best WR we havew right now and sadly has been a underacheiver his whole career

I want to see one catch more than one pass in a row.
