    Keeping Tabs on the Competition

For those of you who keep an eye on what is going on in the division:

The Packers just signed WR Robert Ferguson to a contract extension through the 2008 season. Javon Walker is signed though 2006, and Donald Driver is signed through 2007. For better or for worse, the Packers have their receivers set for the next few years.

The Bears just signed their 2nd round draft pick, Terry "Tank" Johnson (DT, U of Washington) to a 5 year deal. They already have both of their 4th round picks signed.

So I guess you're saying that Packer fans are stuck with these guys? Oh, yeah, their salary cap won't let them go out and get any impact WRs.

JK, these guys aren't bad. Nothing to get too excited about, but not as terrible as the spuds that were on the end of McNabb's throws last season.

Now all the Packers need to do is find a QB. If they don't draft one soon they will end up like Miami, signing second-rate QBs year after year.

HaHa Los thats funny! I know you were serious but Couch was over rated from day one. I realize he played for the Browns and they had a lot of problems but he could have played a lot better. If you don't believe me ask any Browns fans if they are sorry to see him go.

Actually, I think that Couch could be a really good QB for another team than the Browns. I think that he may just suprise everybody. As long as he doesn't start crying, that is!

But isn't that a prerequisite for being a QB on the pack? Don't you have to be a big crybaby?
