Re: Kapman VS Cook our worst nightmare

Cook has an excuse. He's young and still inexperienced at the position plus he had to go up against a fired up Kampman today. What is McKinnie's excuse? He looked horrid. The whole O-line looked bad. The thing is, if Cook, McKinnie or whoever isn't ready to be a starter, the coaching staff should recognize that. Star players aside, it seems as if this organization has some general problems in the personnel dept.
    Even babies know the difference.

    I almost agree with you.
I think this staff has a personel problem on the OL and there only.
The rest of the positions seem to be coming along nicely.

I really wanted them to draft a RG or RT this year, they didn't.
They went out and addressed the WR, RB, DE positions.
Not sure why they didn't get a FA OL as there were a couple out there.
    Evidently they didn't fit somehow.

Anyway, long story short, Fix the OL and you fix most of our problems is my party line this week.
    ;D

Re: Kapman VS Cook our worst nightmare

Cook did ok today. It sure wasnt his fault we lost this game, Kampmann is one of the best rushers in the league and he held him in check for most of the game.

The first sack Kampman got wasnt on him, it was on Shiancoe, but anyways its sick that we let a TE single-block Kampman. Bad bad coaching.

Honestly we can make all the excuses for Cook we want to.
Saying that he's a center playing a different position only helps the argument we shouldn't have drafted hiom where we did.
I guess because Birk was a question mark coming back is the reason.
It still doesn't take away the fact Hicks stinks, M Johnson has been a bust and McKinnie has not lived up to his potential.

I agree with Marrdro in that if we fix the OL most of the problems go away.
However, there is still a question at QB.
    Holcomb is not the answer.
    Bollinger stinks.
TJ is also still a question.
I only hope he gets better soon so he can take his lumps and get experience for next year.

On the other hand, Peterson and Rice are the real deal.
I think if we get a true #1 WR teams will have to respect that regardless of the QB.
Fact is though until the QB can hit open WRs the offense will continue to fail scoring.
I know that's a no-brainer but we are two open WRs and a missed FG away from being 4-0.

Another solid post my friend (and not cause you mentioned my name either).

I am just glad that I only saw Ferggy's ass on the field once this weekend.
I might have missed him on a couple plays though.
Now all we need the staff to do is put him on inactive and let Allison suit up.

    Agreed.
I like Allison and the guy is a play-maker from what I saw in college.
I'd much rather have him in than Fergy.
I wasn't too impressed with J Carter this off-season but I did like watching Chandler Williams.
Maybe they can release fergy and pick up Williams.
