Not the greatest timing leaving your coaches and teammates hanging a week before the start of training camp (not a class move).

Maybe he could have made the decision awhile back and left them some room to manuver.

If he wants to hang and smoke weed travel what ever, but have some class.

I don't think that we have heard the whole story either. We have heard just what the media tells us, and OK so Ricky does smoke weed. Big deal, I don't for a second think that is the entire reason that Ricky left. I personally think that Ricky just didn't want to play anymore anyways and would have probably retired after the season anyways, but failing this last drug test was just the "stem that broke the camels back" if you will. The truth is that Ricky actually has real problems in being the center of attention just in his every day life, not to mention being hounded by the media every day which probably drove him crazy. I think that he just wanted to do something else and football wasn't the top priority in his life. Yeah, it was bad timing and was pretty selfish but sometimes you need to be a little selfish, bucause when it comes down to it you have to take care of yourself first. I don't think that I would want someone on my team that wasn't 100% convinced that he wanted to be there anyways.
