Jersey etiquette

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question.

My Bride and Myself are heading to Ford Field on Sunday to help make the Blue turn a little more Purple. I will be sporting my #28 Jersey with Pride but The only other jersey's I have in the house are my framed #18 Rice (god I miss him playing for the vikes) and #4 "Vikings" Favre. My Question is: Obviously wearing the #18 rice is out of the question becasue he's with the seahawks now ( but he's a great WR in my eyes). BUT, is it acceptable for my Wife to wear My #4 Farve Jersey even thou it isn't current anymore? do other fans wear the #4 "Vikings" Jersey still in support of his Retirement and accomplishments to the team?

I think you can wear anything you want as long as it is Purple. Lots of folks still wear the Moss jersey even though he has been a Raider, Patriot, and now a 49er.

I don' think anybody is going to care. Three of us went to the Colts game last week with the following jerseys: Shank, Rice, Moss. Nobody said a word.

Just keep it purple and it's all good my friend!

What he said. The only time anyone has ever said anything to me about wearing a jersey of a player that wasn't on the team anymore was in the Dome but never at a away game. Go figure huh.

I don't have a problem wearing a jersey of a player that isn't on the team anymore. It just depends on the player.

I still wear my Tarkenton & Stringer jerseys, but don't wear my McKinney jersey.

Take some duct tape and cover "Favre" with "Kluwe".

LOL - no seriously, wear whatever jersey you want. Just don't tuck them in.
