Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
Forgotten man
Forgotten man:
After three games, tight end Jermaine Wiggins has caught just eight passes for 62 yards and no touchdowns, and Childress said the Vikings need to start getting him the ball.
"Obviously, the tight end needs to be a part of our offense," he said. "… Our tight ends need to be more involved, and we're looking to involve them right now. It's not as if they're factored out."
Wiggins has led the Vikings in receptions each of the past two seasons.

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
It's funny how the media now also is fokusing on this after it were discussed earlier here on PP.O
But I guess it's an obvious questionmark after the first three games.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
This is a part of the current NFL I just do not understand. Why not use all the players on your roster? Especially players that have performed well in the past and can potentially help win a game.
If a player is struggling in a game, why not try someone else and why not "Wiggins (who) has led the Vikings in receptions each of the past two seasons."

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
Well, crap...if they keep pulling out Wiggy on third downs and putting Kleinsasser in (like I noted to both Pologirl and SKOL at the game this past Sunday), it is only natural that he is not gonna get the ball.
I still don't understand what the OC and Coach Chill were thinking!
Oh, and as long as Pologirl has a breath in her body, Wiggy will NEVER be a forgotten man!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
I agree, I'm a BIG fan of TE aspect of football. (Lol Football Tight Ends, you perves.)I think that Wiggins and Jimmy do need to see more action. The guys make plays when they touch the ball.I was wondering about Wiggins mostly, seems like hes not there anymore lol.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
I've also been a little suprised at the lack of TE play in our first 3 games...
But maybe the fact that we are rushing so much more takes away some of those TE passes we've all come to notice..
I'm not much on digging up stats, but I wonder what the ration of rushes to TE passes was last year, and what it's been this season so far..
I'm sure the coaches are looking at it....

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
The last 3 games have been against good defensive fronts and I wonder how many plays the TE are staying back to help with the blocking schemes
The one big toss they tried to Jimmy (I think against the Panthers) he looked like a dump truck rumbling down the sidelines, not what I’d call his forte
One positive this year is how our defense has stopped opposing TE’s in the redzone and late in games this year.
Remember how the Steelers and Raven picked the D a part in the 4th qtr, Leber looks to be a big upgrade in this coverage so far.

Re: Jermaine Wiggins: Forgotten man
Yah I have been totally scratching my head on this one so far this season....why is Wiggins notbeing used more?
It troubles me.
he is reliable and he gets the job done, I heard an interview with him after the game and someone asked him why he isn't being used more and he didn't know what to say.
Childres.........USE WIGGY!
He will nor disappoint you!
DCPologirl:Maybe Randy will make Aaron Brooks look better......roflmao Del Rio: I guarantee he will
