Minnesota Vikings bring in Jeff George as 'guest coach' - NFL.com

Bringing in a lazy, coach killing cancer to mentor Ponder???

Haha what a weird move by the Vikings.

Oh well... there are some things that might have a positive influence on Ponder. Jeff George does have a tremendous throwing arm and he loves the deep ball. Also, maybe some of George's huge confidence in himself might rub off to Ponder.

2 years in & now they think he needs a mentor?

First, maybe they should take a look at the QB coach & think about getting one who will be a huge improvement in developing QB's. IMO he hasn't done much for Ponder or Webb.

    Jeff George???

Maybe they can surgically put George's arm on Ponders shoulder. He did have one of the strongest arms of all QBs. Or maybe just some sort of gene replacement.

    Jeff George???

I agree with Singer! Why hasn't the QB coach been doing his job?

The Vikings told us the OC was hired because of his QB mentoring skills.

I remember the same thing with Bevell.... And Childress....

Man, for having so many 'QB Gurus', our QB play aside from one year with Favre has been pretty lackluster.

The irony is that Favre is a better QB guru than all of the rest. Aaron Rodgers was allowed to learn from one of the best on-field generals in the history of the NFL. Read 'em, attack 'em, break 'em.
