Jaymar Johnson Waived Due to Injury

Props to FaudFan for finding this. I felt it should be a thread.

Johnson had two 19-yard catches in Saturday's exhibition opener at St. Louis but reportedly broke his left thumb returning a punt. Waiving him as injured is a precursor to placing him on IR and working out an injury settlement.

Johnson was a player i expected to see more from and probably this year with our problems at the moment at WR.

I saw him grab his thumb as soon as he hit the ground, but nothing was said about it.
Too bad. He looked good and I was anxious to see more of him in pre season.

I thought he might beat out Greg Lewis as the #4 wr... too bad, I really liked the guy. Definitely a talented athlete.

This. At least the #5 on the list. I really liked the kid as well. He was making tons of plays against the Rams.
