Jared Allen Ordered to Stop Sack Celebration

    Daily Norseman

Jared Allen can not do this celebration any more because.... he can't kneel down during a celebration. What a stupid rule. I don't get why they never enforced this before if it was such an important rule. I get so sick of the NFL's stance on these celebrations. Seriously, it doesn't hurt anyone and it just adds to the entertainment. Screw the NFL

I'm guessing there's something in the league rules somewhere about players going into the stands, but that doesn't stop every jagoff in a green and yellow uniform that scores a touchdown at Lambeau Field from jumping into the first row of the stands.
    Fuck the NFL.

    Seriously!? #@%*$!!

Don't they have anything better to do? Like improving the officiating of games or something... But hey! I guess Jared Allen kneeling down on the turf after a play is over is much more important than e.g. refs deciding the outcome of games.

Here I was hoping the NFL would change some stupid rules, but instead they come up with another one.

    Bring AFL back!!

Is this why he's stopped getting sacks?

Well I guess its time for the league to start cracking down on the Lamb-blow leap

I did like 10 trial runs and you can definitely do the rodeo celebration without putting one knee on the ground. JA will adapt..

    Judd Zulgad:
NFL confirms they informed Vikings that Jared Allen's "calf-roping" celebration will result in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

On a second thought, maybe I should start watching the CFL instead. Found this on Wikipedia:
The CFL is much more lenient than the NFL when it comes to touchdown dances. It often has very small, if any, penalties handed out to players who celebrate excessively.

CFL end zone celebrations often include more than one player, often a whole wide receiving corps of 4-6 players.
I also read that it's illegal to leave you feet, but the "Lambeau Leap" is legal. Keep in mind, it's from Wikipedia so I don't know if the source is 100% correct.

The way I see it, celebrations are an expression of joy. The players are just having fun while doing something they love, and I see no harm in that.
If a player wants to do a snow angel (Welker) after the play is over, then let him do it!

True. You get away with more celebrating in the CFL but you usually get a penalty when you bring more than 3 players into it.
