Jared Allen Faces A Possible Suspension

Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has been summoned to the principal’s office this week following last Sunday’s helmet-to-helmet hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Per Glazer, Allen’s task will be to make the case to Commissioner Roger Goodell as to why he doesn’t deserve a suspension or another stiff fine.
Earlier this month, the league slapped Allen with a $50,000 fine for two low hits against Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.
Allen supposedly was warned that any further on-field violations would trigger a suspension.
Though we think Allen should have been suspended for his low hits on Schaub, we also think that helmet-to-helmet hits are a different animal, and that Allen should be placed on a separate track of discipline for that violation.Retired 12/21/08

Re: Jared Allen Faces A Possible Suspension
I think (and HOPE) Jared Allen will talk his way out of a suspension.
On a side note, PFT must hate either hate the Vikings or just Jared Allen, they're always taking time out to criticize him.Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

True, but since it was a Jay Glazer report, I decided to post it. I never post articles that are just from PFT.

He better start paying attention to where he's hitting the QB, we can't afford to have him out.
however, if its against a weaker team, it might be alright, since it will give him a game to help recover his shoulder.

Re: Jared Allen Faces A Possible Suspension
First it is a build off from the Texan game... but that hit on Rodgers.. BS.
I personally believe before the year is up.. Goodell will force all QB's to wear bubble wrap.. if you pop a bubble.. you get a fine.. more than three.. sit a week.

Freaking joke it is becoming, the ones on Schaub.. if you want to suspend him, do it on that merit.. not some candy apple hit.
