If they make intentional hits to the knees from the front illegal, which they should do, the head is out of the question, Where will defenders tackle a player. A CB that was interviewed on Mike & Mike said he doesn't like to hit them in the chest. The ball carrier tends to brace himself for the hit & in doing so lowers his helmet. If he hits him in the chest, even if he doesn't lead with the helmet & their helmets touch, he will get fined. So he avoids that.
    I was always taught to tackle the waist and wrap my arms. The waist never lies, everything else does. Problem is you won't get those sensational big hit replays.
