Jared Allen had 85.5 sacks in the six years he played for MN, averaging 14.5 sacks per season. During that same period he earned just over $73M plus we gave up valuable draft picks. Even though the cost was steep, he delivered and proved to be a good signing.

JA and Adrian have been the cornerstones of this team for the last 6 years (7 for AD), and I would easily do it again with both of them.

I wonder where he will end up now. Tampa signed Johnson, Denver looks like they are landing Ware, Seattle kept Bennet, Chicago signed Houston, and I believe that was the extent of who he was looking at. He held out for money, and teams moved on from a soon to be 32 year old declining DE.

Now it says he will retire if he doesn't find what he is looking for. Looks like that may be his choice if he doesn't lower his demands.

Peppers signed with the Packers, so Allen is not going there either.

If he would sign for less to stay in Minnesota ....

I highly doubt it now. They didn't pay Griffen that kind of money to be a backup, and Robison isn't a backup either. Jared Allen's days as a Viking are over.

I wish him well. He's always been one of my favorites too, and has earned all of the respect I can offer. I just hope he doesn't end up with one of my disliked teams. Most especially right now, not with the Seahawks, because of what they've done to us in recent years. I'd rather not see him be a Cowboy or Raider either, but neither of those teams will be top contenders any time real soon. It would suck to see him as a Patriot, but really only because I'm in Indy. And I would hate it if he goes to New Orleans, as unlikely as that may seem. Anyone else outside of our division, I'll be happy for him.

What number are we thinking of? 69, dudes!

Just thinking ....we payed him what 17mil. last year and he is fun and entertaining to watch, but we had the 31st ranked D. Hummm

I do not think we have spent that much on all the FA signings this year.

Maybe goodby and good riddance is more in order, I would rather pay a hooker for entertainment and a pro athlete for wins(and yes winning is entertaining).

Zimmer was dealt a much better hand then Frazer.
Go ahead back up your to close away.
