James has third ACL surgery on left knee
http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/12388756.html
Vikings defensive end Erasmus James underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Dr. James Andrews performed the operation in Birmingham, Ala. It was James' third surgery on the knee since he tore the ACL and sprained the MCL in September 2006. He reinjured the ACL on Dec. 2 against Detroit.
The Vikings are hoping James, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2005 draft, will be healthy enough to participate in training camp next summer. Asked last week if the latest injury would threaten James' career, Vikings coach Brad Childress said: "No, no, not at all."Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

Re: James has third ACL surgery on left knee
That's tough for a guy.
Having to go through that rehab so many times.
I wouldn't blame him if he did walk away from football.

Re: James has third ACL surgery on left knee
I feel like if I had to have the same surgery three times by the same guy, I would probably go elsewhere. I know Dr. Andrews is supposed to be the man, but this is just getting ridiculous.

Re: James has third ACL surgery on left knee
Wow, how bad does our 2005 draft class look now, 3 years later, I'd give it an F.
1st Round
Troy Williamson- In 3 years has done nothing worthy of being the 7th overall pick, or even a first day pick
Erasmus James-Injury prone, never amounted to anything.
Likely is done with the vikings, especially if he's not ready by next training camp.
2nd Round
Marcus Johnson-Lost his job to Cook, 'nuff said
3rd Round
Dustin Fox- Cut last year in training camp
4th Round
Ciatrick Fason- Cut this year in training camp
6th Round
CJ Mosley- Traded to the Jets for Bollinger (who would have been released)
7th Round
Adrian Ward- Cut in his first training camp
Some noteable players we could have drafted:
Shawne Merriman, Demarcus Ware, Jammal Brown, Derrick Johnson, Heath Miller, Logan Mankins, Lofa Tatupu, Frank Gore, Kirk Morrison, Nick Kaczur, Marion Barber, Brandon Jacobs, Derek Anderson, etc.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.
