Re: Jackson, receivers vow to ease load on defense, running game

I hope so because if they do not we will not make the playoffs this year.

It's time to put up or shut up.
I'm good with short and simple, high percentage, but we need to mix and match.
We stick one dimension and their defense will tear us up.
Lots of progress, T-Jack, let's go!
I agree, enough of the "time to gel" stuff.

We're gonna pound the running game at Detroit, but I see some downfield shots coming against that pourous pass defense. They will stack the box against us and we will make them pay. WE are real close right now and will improve every week. T-Jach throws it deep to T-Will,.... coming real soon. Wade and Sydney are going to get some too. Patience and a powerful rushing attack will open the deep pass. Then we'll have a collective hoot all across the Viking Nation.
T jack best not be throwing deep balls to Williamson save that for practice, it's a wasted down. Again last week Troy should have laid out for the ball.

LMAO. Maybe you should take a second look. If Troy was 17 feet tall laying out may have been a possibility. I was at the game. Troy was right in front of me.
You could make the argument Troy didn't run at top speed as he ran by the defender. But the ball was overthrown by at least 5 yards. It was a double pump move that worked. The pass was long.
From what I saw, Troy had a good game.

You think their defense will "tear us up"?
I think we have a lot more to worry about with their passing game.
We are likely to run on their defense pretty effectively, unless we get behind and have to pass.

I could see DeWayne White, their DE giving us some fits. Especially if T-Jack stays in the pocket too long or they blitz alot.

White was the NFC player of the week with 2 forced fumbles, an interception, a sack & 7 tackles.

no way that was catchable unless your name is randy moss.Seriously dude that ball was a good 3 yards in front of him
That wasn't even catchable by Moss, unless he has arms 3 yards long.

Laying out for that pass wouldn't have done diddly? It was way over thrown.
Williamson admitted he let up a little on the route and that he could have caught it.

I for one, can see what Bevell is saying about T-Jack and the WR corps coming "light years" from training camp.
Heck, just T.J. alone is enough to get me more excited.
He showed against the ATL. that he's very poised, and THAT alone, means ALOT!!!!
    He's not scared!

All he needs to do, is connect for a few deep throws, and he'll be looking like a young Steve Young.
    I honestly believe that.
But a little bit more....................T.J. has so much more!
I think that if he comes along like I think he will, he'll be more like a combination of Steve Young, Michael Vick(the effortless throw only), and maybe even the take charge ability of Elway!!!!

I just see something very special in Tarvaris!!!
    Hopefully, he'll show you all!!!

    I disagree my friend.
If you don't demonstrate the willingness to take a shot or two per half then the D will cheat up and play tight on your WR's.
A deep pass, whether it is complete or not, always pays dividends.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
